Description:
This gun is marked "Remington Rand, Inc. Syracuse NY, USA" and on the right side it is marked "United States Property M1911 A1 US army" serial number is "NO2414879". There is a "P" on the front of the rear sight. Rear sight is adjustable.
In my opinion, this gun is in really good shape for its age. The grips are in excellent shape, without cracks or scratches anywhere. The action, trigger and hammer and all operating mechanisms work excellently. It was stored in a holster, so the edges have some wear on them. On the top of the frame, there are two rust spots.
For a little histroy: this gun was owned by an older gentleman who bought it in the 70's. He has had it this whole time and told me he only shot two clips through.
