Description:
S# 432883, 32-40, 20 inch barrel, bright very good bore with a scratch on left side. This carbine was built around 1914 and remains in very good condition with barrel and mag tube faded to a mostly brown patina. receiver and lever show traces of case colors under a developing brown patina. The top tang is missing two filler screws in the sight holes. A two leaf folding rear sight is mounted. Wood fits well and remains sound with typical small dents and dings. Forend tip has a small but deep impact mark on bottom left. Stocks had a little oil wiped on long ago. Saddle ring is missing, receiver has no mark from wear, it must have been removed when gun was new. Bore has a six inch scratch from a cleaning rod, gun still shoots four rounds into 2 inches at 50 yards. FFL or C+R
