#3756 Westley Richards 65 Caliber, Cased Pair Of Man Stopper Pistols
This is a wonderful cased pair of Westley Richards 65 caliber large bore percussion, Man Stopper, Traveling Coat Pistols. The condition is excellent plus on them both. The 4” smooth bore barrels are browned Damascus and the bores appear near new like condition. The hammers, locks and top tangs are all beautifully engraved and case hardened. The wood and checkering are excellent plus condition. The trigger guards are engraved and blue. The mechanical function is excellent plus condition. Both barrels have silver inlay bands and the breach plugs appear to be Platinum. The nice green felt lined case is very good condition with a Westley Richards No. 170 New Bond Street, London label on the top lid. There is a very nice Ebony ball handled cleaning rod with an augur tip at the other end. One small excellent bag shaped flask and a #18 bullet mold in the compartments. In the covered compartments are lead balls and one Ely percussion cap can. It even contains an Ebony griped nipple wrench. There is another cap cane on edge in the open compartment in the middle fo the case. Both compartment lids have a crack repair but are both solid. There is no damage to the felt lining. Overall condition of these wonderful pistols is well over 90% original condition. These pistols are real, up close and personal Man Stoppers.
