The Trails End Hunter Octagon 20 inch barrel was made in 2005 /06 in the New Haven Plant. They came in three calibers, 25-35, 30-30 and 38-55. This is the 38-55 which the blue book has it listed as " demands a premium". This gun has been fired 9 rounds, three by me, three by my son and three by my grandson. The gun was purchased NIB by my son and he planned to hunt the gun but decided it was to pretty to hunt and traded it to me. I have the box and all the paper work but somehow lost the lock. The gun is like new not a scratch anyplace. The receiver, Lever, hammer, butt stock plate, and forend cap are all case hardend. The 20 inch barrel and magazine are black. The box has a tear which is in the pictures. I could not get the end of the box to focus but it is the box the gun came in, same serial number. This is not a carbine it is a short rifle. Shipping is cost plus Insurance.
