.44 Double Action .44 DA 1st model also known as New Model Navy Number 3 .44 S&W Russian caliber, 6 shot fluted cylinder, 4" barrel, top break, excellent
original grips. Serial number 38254, manufactured 1881. Smooth gray finish with traces of nickel remaining in protected areas. Strong rifling with very bright clear bore. Action works perfectly and locks up tight. A common revolver of the American frontier. These are very good shooters in this caliber. Ammo is available in most good gun shops.
