Description:
This is a Winchester Model 71 rifle in .348 Winchester Center Fire that was made in 1953. Metal is in Very Good to Excellent condition with a few light scratches on the sides of the receiver. The left side of the receiver has been drilled and tapped for a side scope mount. The bore is in great shape. Sights are a Williams receiver peep sight and a front bead sight on a ramp. The dovetail for the Winchester rear iron sight has been filled with a Williams plug. The front sight hood is missing. The checkered walnut butt stock has been cut with a Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad installed, and a compass has been inletted into the top of the butt stock. Finish on all wood is Very Good to Excellent with a few handling marks.
