Description:
This old percussion gun is fitted with a 36" oct bbl of approximately 40 cal. Markings on the bbl "J.H. Johnston Great Western Gunworks, Pittsburg P.A.". It has Rocky Mountain blade style front sight and a simple fixed rear sight. Double set triggers. The metal is pretty much grey with some age spots on it. A few dings but overall good cond. Sharp edges on the oct. Stock is the half stock variety with brass furniture. Stock is actually in VG cond with just a couple of slight age cracks. Good and solid. Brass furniture is in very nice cond. Does have a patch box that works. Replacement ram rod. This would be a great gun above the fireplace!!
