Description:
Offered here is a 1st Generaton Colt Frontier Six Shooter in .44-40, serial #123XXX. Records indicate this piece was manufactured in 1887 making it an Intermediate Black Powder SAA. Shipped to Chicago per Colt factory letter which is included. Gun was originally blue, but only patina remains. Etched panel is faint, but it's there. One piece wood grips are slightly undersized, but in very good condition although not original to this gun. The hammer shows brighter blue, so may also be a later repacement. The best feature of this Colt is the bore which is a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10 Feel free to contact Seller with any questions.
