Description:
Outstanding 10ga hammer gun by W.Richards.Built in the latter part of the 19th century,this classic waterfowl gun has 31 5/8" damascus barrels.The barrels have bright bores with no rust,dents,or pits.The wall thickness averages .050" so this gun is safe to shoot with proper loads.It is built on what appears to be an 8 gauge frame.The frame is game scene engraved and retains traces of the original case colors.The barrels retain all of the damascus pattern.The wood is sound with no cracks or damage.The barrels have the Purdey style double underbites and a dolls head extension that locks up tightly.The guns weighs 10 lbs but feels lighter because it is so well balanced.The hammers are rebounding hammers.The gun comes cased in a leather leg-o-mutton case that is in excellent condition.A classic hammer gun that would be fun to hunt with or shoot at vintager shoots.27/8" chambers.C&R eligible
