Buffalo Newton Model 1924 cal. 256 Newton**DISCOUNTED NOW $750**
This Newton is 100% factory original. The early rifles built lacked a cocking cam at the rear bridge that was added to later production rifles. This one has the very early serial number 33 and lacks the cocking cam. The rifling is the parabolic type with strong lands but frosty from throat to muzzle. The action is unaltered, there are no extra sight or scope mounting holes.
The rifle exhibits all the cool Newton features like the dog-leg bolt handle, rotary floorplate takedown system, set-triggers and folding leaf long-range sight.
There is no rust or pitting and the blueing is original but well worn. Stock finish is original. There is a small crack in the stock at the reinforcing bolt and numerous scratches and dings and added sling swivels that are now missing (they were not factory original)
The rifle feeds, chambers and functions properly.
