Description:
Inv. 5601 Astra (Nazi Contract) Model 600, Caliber 9mm, Serial Number 51XX. Capture papers come with this beauty. You will note the serial number is at just about the middle the first Nazi Contract for the 10,000 of the Astra 600 and the only one of the three contracts to actually have been be delivered. The condition is just super 98-99% of the original factory matte blue finish. The only loss is on the front edges of the slide rails from a holster and a minute patch of surface pinpricks on the frame just below the slide serial number. Surprisingly there is no muzzle loss and the grip straps show no sign of graying. All parts match. The right rear of the frame has the proper Nazi Waffenamt or inspector's code, Eagle/WaA020. The left side of the frame and slide have proper Spanish proofs for that period. There are no import marks anywhere. The wooden grips are perfect, with no splits, chips or flattened checkering. The feed ramp and bolt face show little if any use. The bore is bright as sunshine with razor sharp rifling. There isn't even a trace of graying. The gun comes with one correct Astra 600 magazine and official U.S. Army Capture paper serial numbered to the gun. This is the very first time I have ever seen capture papers for an ASTRA 600.
