Inv. 5579 Smith & Wesson Model 61-3, Nickel, Caliber 22 LR, Serial Number, B=4833XX. This minty 61-3 is the very last and perfected model of this lovely little pocket gem. The production run was exceedingly short, only 1970-1973. I think this was going into the period when "bigger is better". However the collectors and those that want a reliable small pocket gun would find this a super choice. The slide can be can be cocked by the even most feminine hand. The condition is super as the gun shows no use. From an estate collection of 16 unused guns. The nickel finish shows absolutely no wear, scratches or a loss of any sort. The grips are almost perfect. There is a tiny split on the right side from the cocking indicator hole to the edge of the grip. About a 1/4' long. This however has been professionally repaired. Please note that the cocking indicator is not missing as it is in many of this model S & W. The interior of the gun, the bolt face and feed ramp show no use. The bore like the balance of the gun shows no use and is in factory new condition. The rifling is mirror bright and razor sharp. The gun comes with two magazines. One nickel and one blued. A lovely little gem for a purse or jacket. $525.
