ANTIQUE CANE GUN
Dumonthier type cane gun, this one is in very nice condition as can be seen in the pictures. Mechanism functions perfectly, barrel area is still "covered" with the original cherry wood. Handle dumonthier type cane gun, this one is in very nice condition as can be seen in the pictures. Mechanism functions perfectly, barrel area is still "covered" with the original cherry wood. Handle still in very good condition, nickel is still about 100%, this one has a factory marking on the breech area as can be seen in one of the pictures, and the tip on the end of the cane is all original to the cane. The caliber is the rare 9mm CENTERFIRE, so this is not a rim fire model!! Be aware, this is a late 1800,s made cane, only intended for black powder use!! This cane is quality all the way!!!
This type of cane can be found in pre 1898 French catalogs, this cane is in NO WAY suitable ore designed to fire any modern 9mm ore 38 cal cartridge, this cane has a smooth barrel and is ONLY intended to use low powered black powder loaded shot shells.... the whole mechanism is certainly NOT strong enough for use with any nitro loaded propellant, this is an ANTIQUE!!!!!
