Markings are "Poultney & Trimble" and the Smith patent marking on the left side. Part round part octagon bbl. Really a dandy gun condition wise. Nearly all blue remains on the bbl. Very nice case colors on the frame. Even on the bbl band and buttplate. Wood is exceptional and has a very good cartouche. Hinge, action and everything is very tight. Bore is just about as perfect as it could be. If you are looking to add to your Civil War collection this one would be great.
