Description:
1897 WORLD WAR II U.S. AND FLAMING BOMB MARKED 12 GA. TRENCH GUN, WITH BAYONET AND SLING, matching numbers, correct four hole handguard, obviously an issued and used trench gun, fine blue on the metal handguard that shows some handling wear only, gray brown on the exposed barrel/magazine area in front of the receiver which is the balance point, receiver shows good blue on the sides and top with heavy rounding edge wear, exc. forend, fine butt stock with light inspector cartouche, worn Winchester embossed butt plate, these were used from W.W.II through Korea and Vietnam, this one was fortunately never arsenal parkerized or refinished, sharp U.S. marking with flaming bomb on the lower rear left side of the receiver with a flaming bomb on the barrel, the real deal!
