This .54-caliber flintlock, manufactured in 1816 has a band-fastened iron barrel and nicely figured walnut stock. Its original firing mechanism bears a lock plate marked with an eagle and "S. North US Midl.Con" stamped under the brass powder pan. These early US military pistols are among the most collectible of early American firearms. This a beautiful pistol. It is non firing because of a weak main spring.
