Description:
German WWII SA NSKK Dagger with scabbard, blade marked “TIGER SOLINGEN.” 13-1/2 inches from blade tip to tang nut.  Double edged nickel/silver plated drop forged steel construction blade with a low central ridge is 8-9/16 inches long. The front side of the blade has the acid etched script motto, "Alles für Deutschland," which is clear and well defined.  The reverse side of the blade is acid etched near lower cross guard with a creeping tiger over “TIGER/SOLIGEN.”  A scarce maker.  The blade is mostly shiny, but has some minor scabbard runner marks. It also has a couple of areas of very light roughness, slightly darker than the shiny bulk of the blade.  Knife has early cast, solid nickel (German) silver cross guard, pommel and tang nut.  The dagger has a nicely formed walnut grip which is in about VG++ to fine condition. The wood grip fits perfectly to both the top and bottom fittings.  The inside of grip has many very light scratches that appear to be from repetitive motion, like it rubbed against a belt or something.  The grip also has a nickel/silver national eagle and an enameled runic SA button near the top cross guard.  Both are in fine condition with 100% enamel slightly dulled enamel on runic button.  The dagger comes complete with its original magnetic sheet metal scabbard, which retains about 95% plus of its black paint with a couple of minimal surface scratches and several small nicks. All four of the four dome headed fitting retaining screws are intact. The throat and toe fitting are made of nickel silver.  The throat fitting has its hanger suspension loop and ring. This is a very nice and clean example of an NSKK Dagger with scabbard by scarce maker TIGER.
