This is a Very scarce Antique 1892 Winchester Rifle with Full Magazine Takedown, chambered in 44-40 and with a full octagon barrel. Very rare to see in an antique, and having a low serial number 43xxx. It is very uncommon to see a full magazine takedown in a 92', especially in a large caliber. The barrel measures 24" and has about an 8 1/2 bore. The metal has turned to an even attractive overall patina, with some original blue finish showing through in places. The action is tight and levers smoothly. The wood is an upgrade 1X deluxe style wood with some beautiful walnut figure, and shows a rich medium color.
A very nice rifle that will easily clean up even better.
