This is a 1903 dated carbine that has the modified nosecap with post-'68 barrel extension, and retains 80-85% of the original blue finish with silvering and gray fading along the exposed portions of the receiver, high edges and projections. The matching numbered bolt has the original armory bright finish remaining with some scattered small handling blemishes on the handle and some scattered spots of freckling. The nosecap is missing the bottom screw. The walnut stock and handguard have numerous small handling marks and blemishes throughout the original oil finish with some plastic wood repairs, apparently done by the armory. There is no grading disk on either side of the butt, but there is a small rack number disk affixed to the comb (“38”). Despite the barrel extension, we can find no import marking on the carbine. This is a very good-fine example of a very desirable Swedish Mauser carbine and would make a great addition to a collection. {Ref. “Crown Jewels – The Mauser in Sweden” by Dana Jones; 2003} FFL or C&R SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Manufacturer: Swedish Model: 1894 Serial Number: 13325 Caliber Info: 6.5mm Gauge Info: 6.5mm |
