Description:
This Parker has 28” barrels with 2 1/2" chambers choke constrictions of .0075 RT and .026 LT. The bores are clean and shiny and measure .664 right and .667 left. The barrels appear to have been reblued, retain 98% of their finish and have a single ivory bead. The center rib is marked PARKER BROS, MAKERS. MERIDEN, CT. U.S.A. SPEC. STEEL. The #1 frame has 75% original case coloring. The trigger guard has been reblued shows some wear and rust around the screw. It has a double triggers and extractors. The forearm is original and retains 98% original finish. The pistol grip stock has been refinished, retains 98% finish and the length of pull is 14” to the front trigger. Drop at comb: 1 5/8”, drop at heel: 2 7/8”, weight: 7.1 lbs. Mechanics are excellent. This shotgun started life as a 14 gauge black powder gun and was rebarreled by Parker at some point. The number 2 is stamped by the serial number on the forearm iron and on the barrel forearm lug.
