Description:
A handsome reproduction of the famous and very collectable flintlock pistol  made at the U.S. Arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. 4096 of them were made between 1805 and 1808. This one is believed to have been crafted in the 1960's  by  Centennial Arms in Belgium before that firm moved to Italy. The old originals in good condition sell for $20,000 and above.   The barrel has a fine brown finish and retains at least 98% of that. The lock has a case color finish  with  99% remaining.. The barrel is 10 & 1/4" long and the overall length is about 16 & 1/2". The number A216 appears above the touch hole, there is an Eagle over " U.S." on the lock, an "ELG" in an oval (a Belgium proof mark used since 1810)  along with a crown over an"R" both on the left side of the barrel near the lock. The initials "JM" appear on top of the barrel near the lock. The lock is marked "Harpers Ferry, 1807" The action is strong and the hammer holds on 1/2 cock as well. .There is a nicely grained walnut 1/2 stock  in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, chips or wood missing. Just some minor handling/storage  marks. The trigger guard, butt cap etc. are all brass which has acquired a pleasant age patina. A quality, well made pistol in excellent condition. I believe it has been fired as ther are some scratches on the frizzen.

No FFL is required as although this is a modern pistol, it is considered an antique. It can be shipped directly to a new proud owner.
