Winchester U.S. Model M1 D. Serial Number 12602XX. This is a very scarce 1952 Winchester M 1 D. It was papered from the CMP and shipped in 1997. The condition is rather fine. The original Parkerizing is at least 90-95%. The bulk of the loss is contained to some slight edge silvering and some thinning on the magazine floor plate. The scope and all attendant parts are as shipped, correct and proper to the gun. The condition of the M84 scope interior is super. The optics are bright and clear with a perfect reticle. The exterior has some fading of the finish almost as if the gun was carried by the scope in its earlier life. The cheek piece is stamped MRT 2-52 and is in brand new condition. The walnut stock components are nicely matched with about 90% of the original finish. There are few small surface dings but no chips or splits anywhere. The bore is brand new and appears to be unfired. The rifling is scalpel sharp and sunshine bright without even a hint of graying. The throat guages a 3. The gun comes with one proper MRT cheek rest dated 2.52, a correct GI sling and the CMP papers. It should be an awesome tack driver on the range and something that can be shown with pride......$3695.
