Browning P4W Presentation multi barrel set O/U shotgun. Made in the first year of the Presentation gun era, 1977, this beautiful gun has three sets of 28” barrels in 20 gauge, 28 gauge and .410 bore all choked Skeet/Skeet and all with individual New Style Skeet forearms. The P4W was the highest grade of the “P” series and the only grade that was completely hand engraved. This one was engraved by two well-known Browning engravers: Richard Kowalski, did the game scenes; and the scroll work and borders were engraved by Louie Bleus. This factory 3 barrel set is one of only a handful made between 1977 & 1985; in fact some records indicate that only three multi barrel sets were made in P4 with gold! Like all P4’s the wood is exceptional; beautiful dark walnut with brilliant figure in the butt stock and all three forearms. The original Browning pad is in the Hartmann case and the buttstock is fitted with an ebony butt plate with spacer for a 14 3/8” LOP (13 ½” trigger to wood), 1 ½” DAC & 2 3/8” DAH with a slight RH cast; long tang and flat knob. Weighs 5 lbs. 15 oz. Condition is 98%+. Beautiful and very rare.
