Description:
A very colorful Western Winchester model 1892 made in 1894 and chambered for the .44-40 cartridge. This came from a hunting lodge in Montana and had hung on the mantle for many , many years. Wood has some shrinkage, and grain opening but still very solid.The metal is full brown and not pitted, and the walnut wood has dry raised grain. Gun is complete and has the 24" octagonal barrel has correct sights and has a strong rifled bore with surface oxidation and some frosting, couple patches of fine pits, buy not rusted out. This bore will shoot good.Metal parts are rounded smooth and some screws are buggered.
