Description:
25 1/2" tapered round barrel with sling swivel, full integral rib, raised at muzzle for beaded-blade front sight and raised at breech for matted quarter rib with standing leaf express sight. Matted portion of quarter rib engraved “Carabine – Oural Chapuis – France”. Fiddle-figured and lightly streaked European walnut stock with schnabel-tipped Deeley-release splinter forend, slightly-palmswelled steel-capped pistol grip, cheekpiece, sling swivel, mercury recoil compensator, and classic point-pattern checkering. Coin finished, scallop-backed, bolstered, boxlock action with manual top tang safety, hold-open toplever, bushed firing pin, and beaded-edge long-tang triggerguard, engraved with about 40% coverage fine scroll. Swarovski Habicht 2.5-10x56mm scope with 30mm tube and bold 4A duplex reticle on ERA quick-detachable mounts. Pull: 15 3/8" to Morgan-type adjustable Decelerator recoil pad system. Weight: 9lbs, 11oz scoped; 8lbs, 2oz without. Excellent condition with only light field use.
