About Us: Hallowell & Co. incorporated as a full-time, federally-licensed firearms business in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1983. In 1999, we sold our Greenwich building to Griffin & Howe and moved to Livingston, Montana. Our primary interests lie in high quality, artisanal sporting guns in fine original condition---single shot rifles, custom rifles, double shotguns and double rifles by the best makers, from the beginning of the cartridge era to the present. We look forward to being of service.

Description:
32" matted vent-rib barrel choked full. Highly figured walnut stock by Dockwiller with Anson pushbutton-release beavertail forend, rosewood-capped pistol grip with gold inlay, Monte Carlo comb, scalloped-border checkering---wrapping fully around the forend, and black Pachmayr recoil pad. Silver-gray finished action with automatic ejector, no safety, hold-open toplever, and removable trigger group, engraved with raised-carved acanthus scroll, similar to that on the cover of Lippard's Perazzi book, as background to exquisitely detailed gold inlaid game scenes. A fox wrapped around a tree trunk, watching a departing pair of pheasant on left, four ducks flying across a marsh on right, and a pair of snipe, one obviously hit by shot, feathers flying, over a marsh on bottom of action---bewilderingly, unsigned. Pull: 14 1/2". Drop: 1 3/8" - 1 3/8" - 1 3/4". Weight: 8lbs, 3oz. Italian built 1970. Very little used.
