Description:
This modified Ross bayonet is shown on Page 26 of Janzen's bayonets. Blade has been reshaped and guard is ground down. Catch has been deactivated. Pommel has worn markings, catch stud has C (Obsolesence mark) stamped on. Blade has staines and has been lightly sharpened. Pommel and hilt show a mottled grey patina. This comes in a cut down scabbard with MKII and C broad arrow near seam at tip. Frog is stamped with obsolescence mark. A very good example of a WW1 trench knife.
