Description:
S# 423976, 32 W.S., 22 inch half octagon barrel, bright excellent bore. This 1908 manufactured rifle has three special order features. Galf mag, half octagon barrel, and 22 inch barrel. Rifle remains in excellent condition with well over 80% blue on barrel showing dried grease, silvered high edges and scattered specs of oxidation staining. Receiver retains about 40% blue, worn bright in carry areas. Lever and hammer show strong traces of case colors on sides, balance is toned brown. Front sight is a Marbles No 2, rear is a later Winchester Sporting style. Wood shows scattered light marks with 85% original finish. Left side of wrist has a small crack behind receiver and toe line of butt has a metal filler in the added sling ring hole. A similar rifle is shown on page 412 of the Winchester Book by Madis. This is a scarce and desirable special order lightweight short rifle in nice shape. FFL or C+R
