Description:
Serial #170037, .41 Swiss RF, 33” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Bern-manufactured rifle that has about 75-80% of the original blue finish remaining on the metal, with gray fading at the muzzle, the exposed edges, and areas of mild brown fading along the barrel and on the receiver. The bolt handle and spurred trigger guard have dark brown freckling mixing with the gray patina on the balance, and the walnut buttstock and forend have minor surface scratches and surface blemishes evenly scattered about the original oil finish. The cartouches are still crisp and clear, and a spare firing pin is present in the small compartment under the buttplate. This is a very good plus-near fine Vetterli overall. Antique
