Description:
James Macpherson 12 gauge SxS boxlock ejector (BLE) shotgun. This beautiful game gun was made in Inverness, Scotland and updated with Birmingham Nitro Proofed sleeves in 1993. It is an absolutely fabulous game gun. The barrels are 28" long, 2 3/4" chambers, .725 bores with .010 IC and .025 Light Full chokes with minimal wall thicknesses of .037. The dark, highly figured, buttstock is 15" LOP over a full leather pad,;1 1/2" DAC; 2 7/16" DAH; with slight right hand cast. I am fairly certain that the entire gun was professionally freshened, probably also in 1993. The coin finished frame has nearly 100% coverage of scroll engraving and Celtic style deeply carved fences. Overall weight is a mere 6 lbs. 9 oz. and the gun is perfectly balanced.
