Description:
Cal 38. Oct bbl and half mag. All the metal is grey and was cleaned years ago. Some areas of light pitting on the bbl. Most likely why it had been cleaned. Markings are good. The receiver has pretty good smooth metal. Surprisingly there is quite nice case colors on the lever and still hints of case color on the hammer. Original dust cover. Bore is fair with some decent rifling but pitting and roughness throughout. Wood looks relatively good but a bit shy at the tangs. Crescent buttplate fits well. Forearm wood is good overall but has had a coat of old varnish applied years ago. Still a good old Winchester.
