Description:
22" tapered round barrel with full-band swivel base and two gold bands inlaid at breech. Figured European walnut stock with classic borderless point-pattern checkering discreetly enhanced with carved acanthus scroll detailing, beaded cheekpiece, steel capped pistol grip, inletted rear swivel base, and engraved polished steel buttplate. Mauser 98 action with Blackburn trigger, teardrop bolt knob, Model 70-type safety, and hinged straddle floorplate with release inside triggerguard. Engraved by Tommy Kaye: bugling elk on floorplate and ram's head on buttplate, with finely executed border scroll. Leupold VX-III 2.5-8x36mm scope with fine duplex reticle on Leupold mounts. Weight: 8lbs, 2oz. Built 1983. 99%+blue.
