Description: S# 151345A, 38-56, 26 inch octagon barrel, good bore with strong rifling and frosted grooves. This 1911 manufactured rifle (Tang may not be original to the rifle) remains in very good condition with traces of case-color in protected areas especially under the load gate spring cover. The balance of metal surfaces mostly a dark grey patina. Stock was lightly refinished years ago with six added brass inlays, diamonds on sides of forend, oval on both side of wrist and a star on each side of butt. Sights appear original. The hammer screw is a replacement and could be improved. Action works well. This will make a nice shooter or restoration project.
