FOR SALE IS A NICE HARD TO FIND FACTORY CONVERTED REMINGTON NEW MODEL POLICE REVOLVER IN 38 RIMFIRE. IT IS IN OVERALL SOLID SHAPE AND APPEARS TO BE FACTORY NICKEL PLATED MOST LIKELY WHEN IT WAS CONVERTED BY REMINGTON AS DESCRBED IN FLAYDERMAN'S 9TH EDITION PAGE 164. IT RETAINS A MAJORITY OF THE PLATING BUT DOES HAVE SOME LOSS TO THE BACKSTRAP, BUTTSTRAP, MUZZLE AND SLIGHT FLAKING OTHERWISE. THE CYLINDER SHOWS STRONG BLUING ON ONE SIDE MORE THAN THE OTHER, AND THE ACTION WORKS FINE INDEXING PROPERLY AND LOCKING UP NICE AND TIGHT. THE GRIPS SHOW A NICE MELLOW PATINA WITH ONE SLIGHT CHIP ON RIGHT GRIP BUT NO CRACKS. THE BORE SHOWS RIFLING PRESENT WITH SOME PITTING THROUGHOUT. IT HAS THE CORRECT TWO PIECE FACTORY CYLINDER AS DESCRIBED IN FLAYDERMAN'S 9TH EDITION PAGE 165.
