22" Lightweight tapered round barrel with full-band silver-bead front sight, quarter rib with 1 standing and 2 folding gold-lined express sights, and gold line at breech. Top of barrel engraved: Dale W. Goens 1142. Finely inletted, figured French walnut stock with ebony forend tip, ribbon and fleur-de-lys checkering with Goen's signature checkered panel at the top of the wrist, casehardened steel pistol grip cap, beaded cheekpiece, inletted swivel bases and thin brown pigskin-covered recoil pad. Large ring Mauser 98 action, marked DEUTSCHE WAFFEN – UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN on side wall with Timney trigger, blued bolt with commercial style pear-shaped two-panel checkered bolt knob, hinged floorplate engraved 5 CARTRIDGES with release inside triggerguard, casehardened cocking piece with Mauser flag safety, and fire-blued small parts. Pull: 13 5/8". Drop at heel: 2-5/16?, drop at comb: 1-7/8?. Weight: 8lbs. Excellent condition.
