29-3/4" SxS chopper-lump barrels with smooth concave rib and 5 Briley interchangeable choke tubes, engraved BAER & CO and MADE IN SPAIN. 14 3/8" pull from articulated front trigger to engraved Parker skeleton steel buttplate---checkered within. 1 ½” – 2 ½” drop at comb and heel, respectively. No cast at all, either way. Well figured, dark, European walnut stock with Anson-pushbutton-release splinter forend, straight English grip, beaded-edge triggerguard, teardrops, and classic point-pattern checkering. Dark-casehardened sidelock action with Holland & Holland-type assisted-opening mechanism, manual top tang safety, automatic ejectors, pierced toplever, bushed firing pins, cocking indicators, and with nearly full coverage relief carved acanthus scroll engraving extending organically onto the barrel breeches and surrounding Bulino game scenes of ducks on both lockplates and the underside, signed Baer (Larry Baer, noted author of “The Parker Gun”, and accomplished craftsman). Weight: 6lbs, 15oz. Built 1983. From the Larry Baer estate. Fine leather Huey trunk case with leather-trimmed canvas overcase, containing cleaning equipment, choke tubes and wrench. Excellent condition, nearly new, with light handling marks.
