Description:
Colt Model L61R Deluxe in 30/06 Caliber made by Sako. This gun is actually a Sako Finnbear Deluxe with all the features of a Deluxe Finnbear, Skipline Checkering, Rosewood Forend Tip and Pistol Grip Cap, Sako Crossbolt, Recoil Pad and Sights, Bases are intregal Sako. Every marking on the gun is Colt. The barrel with address and the Sako Recoil Pad. The only telltale hint excluding the appearance is where the Bofor Steel would have been on the right hand side of the barrel, it says "Made in Finland" and the caliber marking is definately Sako on the barrel ahead of the receiver. Gun appears to be unfired except for proofing. No scope rings have ever been mounted. The condition is Magnificent. We had a 243 once that was not a Deluxe and was a duplicate of the Forester. I have been told that the only two caliber made were the 06 and 243. I really am not sure. A truly Rare Gun that would certainly fill out any Colt or Sako Collectors Collection. FFL and we believe a C&R required. Serial number is in the 16000 range which dates a Sako back 50 years. Thanks for Looking.
