Description:
For Sale is a beautiful pristine time capsule of a 1926 National Match 1903 Springfield. Rifle and bore are in excellent, new condition. Muzzle and Throat wear are non-existent. Star gauged 12-25 SA barrel. Just an amazing piece, everything is crisp and tight. A name is professionally and cleanly stamped on right side of butt, "Cowperthwaite". Rifle may have been a presentation or a gift for the gentlemen. This rifle truly exceeds the condition of every National Match 1903 Springfield I have ever seen come to market. This rifle's features are consistent with all the National Match features of a 1926, 1903 Springfield. These include, polished bolt and numbered bolt (last 5 of S/N), star gauged barrel, grooved trigger, headless cocking piece (improved lock-up), polished receiver rail and follower, heavy checkered buttplate and DAL marked finger grooved stock.
