F. Doumalin & Cie, Liege 16 gauge game gun manufactured in 1943 with 27 1/2" SkII/IC ejector barrels with raised matted rib. Slight pitting in both bores but not deep. Bores measure .670 right and left. Choked .012 right and .015 left. French Gray reciever with reinforced frame, side clips, Greener crossbolt, and cocking indicatores. Double non-selective triggers. Reciever with 30% coverage scroll engraving. Pistol grip buttstock with very nice fiddleback figure. Beavertail forend with Anson forend release. 14"LOP to a hard buttplate. Will go 14 3/4" with 1" pad. 6lb 90z DAC-1 1/4" DAH- 2 1/4" Neutral cast. This gun is tight and on face. Barrels ring. Ejectors are strong and well timed. It has a nice game gun weight and good dimmensions. 98% mechanical life remains. It is cased in a nice leather case from the shop of E.J. Binet & Fils, Rue Royale 17, Bruxelles. This is an old line gun shop in the heart of Brussels. When I was in this shop in 2012, the in house gunsmith was a graduate of the great Liege gunsmithing school and told me he trained at the bench adjacent to my good friend J.J. Perodeau of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
