Description:
1868 US Springfield Trapdoor Rifle. Appears to be 50 caliber. Lockplate is dated 1863 and breech is dated 1869. Correct rear sight and wrong ramrod. Two cartouches are still present along with a rack mark. I will rate the bore a 7 on a scale from 1 to 10. Original sling is still present as well. Barrel measures 32 5/8". Action functions nicely. Overall condition is a gray / brown patina with sharp markings. Stock shows its age with chips, gouges, and use. Antique and can be shipped directly to your doorsteps.
