Description:
This is a rare early Lifter model 1866 Parkers Brothers 11 Gauge Damascus steel double barrel shotgun. I sent a Parker expert the numbers and pictures. He looked it up in the Parkers records book and determined it was 11 gauge and said the grade was hard to determine on the early guns but that it looked to be D grade with the serial no. 3711. They only made about 124 ot these 11 gauge guns from 1866 to 1874. This one looks all original, hammers, screws etc. all the serial no.s match but I am not able to look at all the interior parts. The gun appers in fair working condition with a good tight action. I am sure it needs the proper cleaning and servicing but I have no messed with it. There are a couple small nicks on the stock by the lock plate and the beginning of a small hair line above the shield and a small ding on the barrel you can see in the pictures. The main concern is the book says it had a 30" barrel and this looks to have been cut down long ago to 27". This is still a very rare parker and a great addittion to any collection.
