Description:
This is a very early four screw frame pre Model 17 Smith & Wesson 22 rim fire. The serial number is K 289463. It is fitted with a six inch pinned barrel. The grips are the original diamond center checkered grips. They are serial numbered to this pistol. The box is the correct style box with the cleaning rod, brush and wiper included. There is also the original wrapping paper in the box. The box appears to be quite sound. There is however taping all around the outside of the box lid for unknown reasons. The pistol itself shows very little use or shooting. The typical drag line is faint between the bolt stops. The original bluing would rate a strong 98%. The only blemish is by the right side just in front of the muzzle, there is a slight scratch. The color cased hammer and trigger show strong vivid coloring. The color case would rate a 98% condition.The factory letter states that this pistol was shipped June 14 1957. This is a very collectable 22 Smith & Wesson with factory documents and the original style box. Search for hlvfineguns on google.
