About Us: Hallowell & Co. incorporated as a full-time, federally-licensed firearms business in Greenwich, Connecticut in 1983. In 1999, we sold our Greenwich building to Griffin & Howe and moved to Livingston, Montana. Our primary interests lie in high quality, artisanal sporting guns in fine original condition---single shot rifles, custom rifles, double shotguns and double rifles by the best makers, from the beginning of the cartridge era to the present. We look forward to being of service.

Description:
27-1/2″ tapered round barrel with island-base silver-bead front sight, island-base sling eye, and with one integral standing, four folding leaves, and folding tangent ladder sight for ranges to 1400 yards. English walnut stock with horn-tipped Deeley-release splinter forend, steel-capped pistol grip, classic point-pattern checkering with mullered borders wrapping fully under the forend and over the wrist, vacant silver oval, rear sling eye and smooth steel trapdoor buttplate. Blued Model 1881 action marked WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO and LONDON on left, and with detachable barrel information on right with checkered loading lever and sliding safety beside trigger. Takes down by simple removal of the forend, opening the action to clear the extractor from its barrel recess, and giving the bayonet-mount barrel a quarter turn to the left. Pull: 14 1/4". Drop at heel: 2-3/8″. Drop at comb: 1-15/16″. Weight: 7lbs, 1oz. Ex Richard Schreiber collection. Retaining nearly all of an old sympathetic refinish and excellent [relined] bore.
