Description:
Serial #5600440, .30-06, 24” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle was manufactured between 1954 and 1956. The metal retains 92-95% mixed original and armory re-applied parkerizing along with silvering at the muzzle, on the projections, on the bearing surfaces of the original “HRA” and “.U.” marked bolt, and inside the op-rod raceway. The components are of mixed manufacture: 1964 dated SA barrel, Remington-made NM op-rod, HRA trigger group housing, and SA hammer and safety. The walnut stock has no visible markings and retains 95% plus of an added, mildly tacky varnish over numerous light handling marks and blemishes that also carry over onto the matching finish handguards. This is a very nice refurbished H&R Garand that is in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
