The two guns are virtually identical in every respect. The fluid steel barrels (sleeved by Westley Richards and so marked) are 28" long, nitro proved. The chambers are 2 1/2", and the bright and shiny bores are choked IC/FULL in both. The well figured French walnut stocks have recessed side panels, and measure 1 1/2" x 2 1/8" x 14 1/2" over engraved steel heel and toe plates. Both stocks have initial shields with the letter "B," and both stocks have slight cast off. Number 1 weighs 6 lbs 2 oz, and number 2 weighs 6 lbs 1 1/4 oz. The actions lock up tight as new, and feature disk set strikers (bushed firing pins.) The action is covered with beautiful border and scroll engraving, and the words BELMONT INTERCHANGEABLE HAMMERLESS. It is hard to imagine a classier pair of lightweight upland double guns!
