Description:
A spectacular Wartime Mauser bolt action rifle marked on the receiver 1939 and above it 42. This fine gun is 100% commercial blue no rust or pitting with a 23 1/2" barrel and has a typical wartime bore with very strong rifling and corrosion in the grooves, and will spin a bullet good. The stepped barrel looks all original and the action is very slick. Comes with a quality leather sling with a lambs wool shoulder pad. The barrel and receiver has the SN 4928, and the bolt is matching, trigger guard, and floor plate also, has Nazi eagle proofs, this is not a recent Russian import, no importer markings. The American walnut stock has a hand rubbed finish and the fit is very professional, also has a left side cheek piece, and a steel butt-plate. the forend tip looks like black ebonyes with a right side mounted Match Target Lyman 48 WJS Receiver Sight in very good condition.
