Description:
An absolutely spectacular Colt '49 Pocket model revolver, SN 327xxx all match, including arbor pin and wedge. The gun retains a fine cylinder scene(98% plus) as well as 98%vivid case colors. It also has a good 95% original Colt blue. Also retains about 90% silver plate.The grips are superb with no dings andthe gun has 90% original silver plate on the trigger guard. Bore is excellent and mechanically it is tight and indexes well. The Kitteridge and Co. stamp on the butt is quite rare and adds to the value of the gun. Kittridge was a major distributor(for colt) for many folks going west as the country grew. This is maybe the best '49 I have owned. It is also a presentation piece, with the name Jacob Andreason inscribed on the back strap.
