Description:
Serial #BG6112, .303 British, 20” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1945 dated, “M/47C” marked carbine (BSA-Shirley) that retains very nearly all of a pristine, armory re-applied matte blue finish having only some very minor specks of flaking on some of the exposed edges and projections. The unnumbered bolt has very little wear, even on the handle and bearing surfaces. The subtly feathered walnut stock and handguard are in excellent condition with a commercial quality varnish having with only a few very minor handling marks marring the wood. The only real condition issue is some very minor flaking of the Suncorite on the nosecap. The unnumbered magazine matches the condition of the rest of the rifle and an original tan canvassling is included. This is about as handsome an example of a No. 5 Jungle Carbine as one is bound to come across, and is in excellent condition. FFL or C&R
