Description:
WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 61 OCTAGON , single cartridge stamped ".22 LONG R." Serial number 29xxx with a bright, excellent bore. Receiver retains fully 98% original factory blue with a couple points of extremely slight high edge wear. The octagon barrel retains 90% factory blue with a few small dull spots on the flats and an area of mottling at the rear sight. There is some toning to brown under the mag tube. Magazine tube shows some blue wear with a couple of thinning points mostly from slide function and an area toning to brown around the mag tube loading slot. Very pretty wood in the butt stock which retains 97% original varnish as does the pump handle. There are light handling marks in the butt stock; mechanics are excellent.
