Description:
Really nice single shot target pistol with an 8" octogon tip down barrel. Gun retains over 95% of it's original blue. Checkered walnut grips have no cracks or chips with slight crushing of the diamond checkering. The action is tight and opens with the push button on the left side of the frame. The bore is dirty with very strong rifeling, should clean up much better. This would be the perfect gun for training a youngster to shoot or for the guy who wants to perfect his target shooting. The barrel is marked "Made In Germany" with some proofmarks. There is no serial number that I can find. The following is from a reader, Mr Arjan van Baggum, who wrote: "Dear sir, The old German Target Pistol you have for sale is a SCHARFENBERG. It looks like it was sold outside of Germany - hence the English words: ' made in Germany" I believe the American postorder company STOEGER sold it during the 1930's in the USA.
